Top100 (2003 - ongoing)

fiberglas, aluminum, 100 vinyl records
and 600 mp3 files on a 6 volumes cd compilations.
340 x 120 x 40 cm

A fiberglass hybrid vehicle with wheels made from blocks of glued vinyl records. On one side there are 33 rpm records, while on the other there are 45s, creating an asymmetric vehicle that only moves in circles. The records are those chosen by 400 art world personalities as their favourites selection having forced them into stating a precise “aesthetic” preference. The sculpture-vehicle “floats” on these choices, like a big juke-box. All the music selected is stored on a 4 volumes Mp3-CD compilation highlighting the artistic selection process as noncritical choice.
The 600 songs are chosen by: Martin Creed, Nicolas Bourriaud, Francesco Bonami, Andrea Bellini, Dan Cameron, Maurizio Cattelan, Sonia Campagnola, Mircea Cantor, Giovanni Carmine, Jonas Dahlberg, Roberto Cuoghi, Massimo De Carlo, Liam Gillick, Luca Cerizza, Caroline Corbetta, Giacinto Di Pietrantonio, Sadie Coles, Gavin Brown, Anaïd Demir, Olivier Mosset, Robert Fleck, Nina Folkersma, Alison Gingeras, Massimiliano Gioni, Hou Hanru, Jens Hoffman, Anri Sala, Matthew Higgs, Andrea Lissoni, Filip Luyckx, Christine Macel, Gianfranco Maraniello, Stéphanie Moisdon-Trembley, Heike Munder, John Peter Nilsson, Hans Ulrich Obrist, Chiara Parisi, Paola Pivi, François Piron, Ali Subotnick, Alessandro Rabottini, Anton Vidokle, Michele Robecchi, Alma Ruiz, Jérôme Sans, Claire Staebler, Alexis Vaillant, Philippe Vergne, Giorgio Verzotti, Andrea Viliani, Marc-Olivier Walher, Carey Young, Andro Wekua, Wilhelm Sasnal, Tomas Saraceno, Nicolas Tremblay, Angela Vettese, David Shrigley, Bruno Peinado, Allora & Calzadilla, Jean-Max Colard, Sadie Coles, Nathalie Djurberg, Jan De Cock, Samuel Keller, Tom Morton, Natasa Petresin, Francesco Vezzoli, John Armleder, Urs Fischer, Wolfgang Tillmans, Olaf and Carsten Nicolai, Mark Alizart, Julieta Aranda, Javer Perez, Elmgreen&Dragset, Jeffrey Deitch, Catherine David, Ryan Gander, Olaf Breuning, Adam Budak, Emmanuel Perrotin, Adam Szymczyk, Raimundas Malasauskas, Mai-Thu Perret and many others...
